How do we balance radical principles, accessibility, and affordability when organizing national convenings / conferences? This meet-up will start off with some framing ideas and questions from organizers of the Color of Violence Conference, Allied Media Conference, and GIFT Conference. From there we will have an open discussion and strategize around solutions to persistent challenges and contradictions we encounter when organizing national conferences.

Jenny Lee is the Executive Director of Allied Media Projects in Detroit. She was part of moving the Allied Media Conference to Detroit in 2007 and has facilitated it's growth and evolution there ever since. She was part of the INCITE! National Collective from 2008 - 2011.
